 Asymmetric synthesis of MeBmt, an unusual amino acid constituent of cyclosporine A, was achieved from
aziridine-(2R)-carboxaldehyde through highly stereoselective addition of (E)-crotylboronate and the subsequent
N-methylative aziridine ring opening as key steps.
